Anti-mirage cover for .22 LR sound moderators

 The " Little Bird" anti-mirage cover is specifically designed for .22 LR caliber sound suppressors . Originally developed for the APW Little Bird , it remains compatible with other suppressors of similar dimensions.

 What is the purpose of an anti-mirage cover?

 During shooting sessions, the heat emitted by the moderator creates a thermal mirage above the barrel. This mirage causes optical distortions when looking through the scope (blurring, ripples), which reduces the sharpness of the target and makes it difficult to maintain a stable aim.
 The anti-mirage cover delays the appearance of this effect and reduces its intensity.

 Construction & materials


 
 Internal lining : high temperature resistant textile (specifically heat-resistant) to act as a barrier to the moderator's radiation.
 
 Outer shell : robust Cordura® fabric for excellent resistance to abrasion and field use.
 
 Fastening : elastic cords surrounding the cover for even tightening around the moderator.
 
 Anti-slip safety : cord stopper/lock at the back to lock the tension and prevent any movement of the cover during shooting.
